I am ready to purchase a 22/24 pontoon. Trouble I'm having is that I want a stern lounger and every one I have sat in whether it's Bennington or not they are all  too short by about 8" for me to stretch my legs out without them pushed up against the upholstery ( legs are not laying flat) or my feet are hanging over the edge. I am 6ft tall and this could be a deal breaker when I'm spending that kind of money. Can't they make these longer to accommodate taller folks?

I am 6'4" .I have plenty of room .My feet dont go past the rail

My father in law is 6'2" and stretches right out on the backseat of our SSLX. Never had anybody complain back there except not enough seat time! One thing in life I won't have any issues with is being too tall! :)  
 
I agree. I'm 6'2" and have plenty of room to stretch out in the back of our 2275RCW.

Are you talking with regular "lounger" seating? Have you tried the "CW", "SB", or "SS" type loungers Bennington offers. As stated above, they should accommodate you. I'm going GCW (budget) because I don't like laying in standard loungers as one arm hangs and the other arms above your neck. (Unless you get a R with flip out armrest up front) but still not as comfortable as a wide lounger.

If you avoid the optional upholstery/speaker addition you should have no problem at all. I'm 5' 11" and have the trouble you describe with my rear loungers if I try to scrunch down for a nice snooze. Without the enclosing option there would be plenty of room. Btw, this is the rear of my 2275GCW.


And just to add... I wouldn't change the configuration I have selected here because I enjoy the added flexibility in seating that this option affords. Many people enjoy sitting back there facing forward. Just my 2 cents.

We also have the same configuration and we love it for the same reasons. Many times there are six people in the back talking away . Not to mention,it's really a crowded spot on a cool evening running back to the house. It's amazing how many can squeeze into those lounges under the blankets!
 
Rear loungers....was not at all my first choice for the boat!  However, due to a very impatient wife, there was a boat that met all my specs including the engine and it was ready to leave the showroom floor immediately.  I caved in and bought the boat with rear loungers.  Now that I have it, I would NEVER get another boat without them.  Ours allows for you to put your feet on the floor or on a cushion by the back gate.  I love ours and recently had a nap while fishing.

I'm 6'4 and a half (lets round up to 6'5") and fit on our sslx with no problem.
 
Here's another vote for rear loungers! They have proved to be a very popular place on our boat. Roomy, comfortable and protected on those evening cruises...
 
We have the rear loungers and would not have another boat without them.  They are very popular while underway and while parked and have never had any issues with the leg room.

Dealer probably won't open up shrink wrapped boat though. Still possible for crappy weather ...  :(

We have plastic sheet zipper tape at work for lead paint work. Maybe I'll sneak up and install one.
