Strange question regarding cup holders...

Hello All, First summer out on our Bennington and needless to say, we are infatuated!! One question is regarding or cup holders. There are rubber like black inserts in all of the cup holders that are not part of the fold down arm rests, Problem is- every time you go to put something in and touch them there is a black residue that comes off of them. I have tried to take them out and rinse them off with sudsy water- but once they dry the same thing ends up happening. At this point I have taken them out to avoid the black "stuff" getting all over our hands, drinks, clothes, or other parts of our boat! Any thoughts???

We took ours out after experiencing the same thing. The good news is they fit our koozies perfectly now AND you're having fun on a great boat.

I wonder if they stopped removing them at the factory or are using the same supplier. I'm surprised this is still an issue a year later.
