Recently went to access the stow area under the lounger of our '18 G23 Swingback and all three of the screws holding the left hinge completely came out. Looks like there are some anchors that came out with two of the screws. The right side hinge is fine. Any suggestions on fixing this? Also the closer pumps on the lounger have always been very stiff. Anyway to lessen the tension on those? Thank you.

If you are the original owner ,that should be a warranty issue .

Epoxy holes, let dry, drill pilot holes and re-attached: Enlarge holes with larger screws: Move Hinge to the right or left.

I have the same issue as Mr. CheezWhiz on my 2017 23RSB. The left side hinge screws have pulled out of the plywood. I've repaired it once myself by drilling through other, previously unused holes. But the screws pulled out again recently. The wood in that area is rotted so epoxy/larger holes and screws, etc. would be a band-aid fix.

For boats the same age as mine, Bennington provides to the original retail purchaser "Limited lifetime structural warranty and wood component warranty..." I'm the second owner and transferred the warranty when I bought the boat. In my case, this warranty is in effect for 10 years from the date of original purchase. This is clearly a wood component failure so I will be taking the boat to my excellent dealer (Captain's Choice Marine) at the end of the season for an expected warranty repair.

Using wood screws into plywood for this application was not a great decision. The lift struts on the Swingback are super stiff and exert a ton of pressure on the hinges. Stainless T-nuts and machine screws would have been a much more robust choice.
