My dealer gave me a 6-8 week delivery time frame. Today marks week 7.... I know everyone's been in this spot before. All good! Can't wait though!

I don't want to badger the poor guy at the dealership. I think he had enough of me during the planning stages. Although, every time I contacted them it resulted in an upsell for him. LOL.

We all know the feeling when you order rather than take one off the floor. Just be sure to allow them proper time to do the prep. The dealer actually has to do a lot of final assembly type stuff as well as rigging, so rushing that is the last thing you want. It won't be long now.

We ordered both of our boats in early fall so the wait was brutal! Totally worth it when they arrive!

For sure. I've asked for a build date or delivery date, but mums the word I guess. My local dealer is a small shop and this time of year is nutty for them I'm sure. Being patient. :)

My trailer is empty right now and in the driveway. I'll go pick it up for you tonight!!!!!

Taking delivery of our's on May 21st! Now I just need to go out and purchase an anchor, dock lines and bumpers. I feel your excitement!!

I've been steadily checking these kinds of items off the list since I placed the order. (a little less of a one time sticker shock that way!)

I wish I at least had the date. I wanna make sure I schedule NOTHING but boat on that day!

I know exactly how you feel!!  We should be getting ours at the end of this month or early June at the latest!  Also scared to call my dealer as I think he would shoot someone after what we just went through adding the SPS at the last possible second!  :D

My Personal Experience :

Ordering Boat  - worse experience in process

Taking Possession - 2nd worse experience

Being On The Lake - Heaven On Earth

Wishing Everyone The Very Best

Why was taking delivery a bad day?!?!?

I had a bad experience which caused me to change dealerships after taking delivery

Things that were to be done were not

BUT

When I got the Benny on The Water

It was amazing and the other problems were taken care of by my new dealership :)

Everyday on Benny is an amazing day :)

Welp.... just spoke to dealer. I asked if we were still on track for the 6-8 weeks delivery. "Yep, yep, we are..." (note: I have  asked this very question several times and asked for a build or ship date. )Answer is always, no date yet, but on schedule)

I said that's great. So what's the delivery date?

-Don't have one. They haven't sent it yet.

I said, I figured there'd be one by now since it's been 7 weeks.

He then said, he thinks the build date was around the 23rd. I asked: "Of April"

-No, May. And it goes right on the truck to ship from there.

Then we are NOT in fact on time for 6-8 weeks delivery. More like 12+ if  we're lucky.

-He read off the order date to me and said he'd need to count the weeks. -He said he'd call them and find out. Update: Build "should start 5/23"

I politely told him I was frustrated and that's why I asked for the delivery date etc. Every time its been the same answer...it's on time, 6-8 weeks. He said, "well, the 6-8 weeks is an estimate, I'm not surprised it's taking longer"

(My thoughts: Wait, you were so confident we were on time?!?!)

I thanked him and asked him to let me know of any updates.

I am a little frustrated. I feel silly complaining though. I am blessed enough to be able to buy a boat when there are folks in bad situations in life. This is definitely what they call a "First World Problem"

Looking like a big maybe for early June.

Waiting is the hardest part of a boat purchase! Sucks he was so far off on his timeline.

We ordered our SLX  end of February 2013  ,took delivery last week of May  .

When we ordered our RCW we ordered in December of 2013 it arrived at the dealer in February .Took delivery middle of May .

Had to wait for the ice to melt

Mine took exactly 3 months.  Ordered July 21st, took delivery October 21st.  I tried to get the build date but was never able to.

On The Bright Side

Unless You Are A Cold Weather Boater

You Are Not Missing Much

Still Rainy and Cool here

Looks Like We Will Wait Another Week to Place Benny In Water

We ordered our 21 SLX Mar. 4th and I just received a phone call from my dealer saying , they should be receiving our new boat next week sometime. Then a week to outfit and then take it to its new summer home to a slip on Seneca Lake in Watkins Glen NY. I listened and learned from all of you and have patiently waited to hear from my dealer.
