I'm ok with waiting and understand these things happen. I was really just frustrated that the dealer repeatedly kept saying we were on track.... It appears he never really checked... that's the part that bummed me out most.
Sorry to hear you are waiting so long but congrats on the boat purchase! We recently picked up our 22 SSX after purchasing at end of January. Not sure if this pertains to your order but our dealer told us that this year is a crazy year for Bennington sales. Perhaps they are a little backed up in manufacturing?
On a side note, we live in the Finger lakes region of New York and thought we would trailer our boat to a few different lakes the first year. My wife tried to convince me that it might be easier to just pick a lake and put the boat in. I did not listen and decided we should just trailer to multiple lakes. After the second time trailering to a nearby lake and waiting for an hour at a crowded ramp (not even summer yet) I had to look at her and say those words I have become so accustom to...."you were right honey". We just paid for a slip at one of the larger finger lakes....I like to refer to this as lesson #1 learned as a new boat owner!
I also had some frustrations not getting answers from my dealer, so I just went on Bennington's web site http://www.benningtonmarine.com/faq/ and filled out their contact us page requesting a build date and tour, their warranty department responded with an email directly, set up the tour on the perfect day. Sometimes you just have to ask the right people. Best of luck with your new boat, I'm positive it will be worth the wait.
