Very well thought out. Can’t wait to hear how it turns out. Also post lots of pictures when you get it! I was scrolling through camping accessories when I came across this...

Something like this might be nice to add to your trailer so when you are launching you can climb from the truck to the winch without having to ge wet or balance on the trailer cross members. I could envision one on each side, possibly hinged so you can flip them up and not bang your shins on them. Just a thought...

I'm not a fan of ladders or one step, as I get older I appreciate a full set of stairs with a hand rail.

I agree. I meant more back towards the tow vehicle if that makes sense. Easier to maneuver and less chance of getting wet.
