Transducer Mount

Can I mount a transducer on the center tunnel in front of the engine. The stock cable is 18'' short or reaching the rear of starboard toon. I'm only using for depth and breadcrumbs, don't need sonar and fish finder. Thank you

You can, but you might have a lot of turbulence that might cause a problem. There are extensions available to put it on the left or right toon. Good Luck️

Transducers already get turbulence interference mounted on the side pontoons depending on their mount height. You want it in as “clean” of water as possible, and that center area gets pretty hammered. I’d look for an extension to get it all the way over. Then I would make sure there is enough additional line to mount it lower. Ideally an inch or so below the pontoon increases effectiveness greatly. This assumes one is not beaching it or pulling it all the way onto supports in the back like on a lift or trailer.
