On the twin engine setups it seems the placement of the transducer on the center toon is in a position that around 10 MPH and above the transducer is in dirty water and stops working. Has anyone come up with a way to get the transducer lower into the water without fear of the force ripping the setup off the transom of the center log?

Having a bracket welded to the bottom of the center toon and mounting the transducer there seems as not an option due to the ladder and peoples feet always kicking or stepping on it. Using a piece of plate just a few inches longer seems it may give better results but may put a large amount of stress with the water pressure while underway.
