Transducer wiring badly chewed by critters

I recently purchased a 2015 Bennington 2350 Q Series tritoon. The previous owner indicated the Garmin depth gauge hadn't worked in years. I'm on a lake with rocks and varying depths and I need it working. On closer inspection I was able to pull about two feet of transducer wiring back through the gap where it is routed at the top of the right toon to discover that a critter(s) had been chewing on the wiring and it is useless and will require replacement. The damage continues well beyond the slack that can be pulled out. There is an aluminum skin underneath the deck. How do I go about replacing the transducer cabling. Because of the damage to the old wiring, I'm afraid if I attach the new wiring and attempt to pull the new cable the old wiring will snap. I'd also be surprised if the old wiring isn't tie-wraped somewhere, not visible and beyond my reach. Any suggestions would be very appreciated.

On my 2014 RCW with a wave shield , I changed Garmins. The dealer used a fish tape to pull the new transducer cable.

Thanks Jack. The wiring appears to run forward 10' +/- then takes a right crosses the center toon and daylights under the helm. Do you know is there an open wiring channel that runs from starboard to port from the helm to carry the transducer wiring, that then runs aft along the top of the port tune?

That I don't know , my dealer does all the service for me.
But there others here that have ran new cables , I'm sure they will chime in .

Is the current transducer on the port side toon? I wonder if you can install the new one on the starboard side so that you would have a straight shot with the fish tape? Or run it straight on the starboard side and then over to the port side at the rear of the pontoon?

It is currently mounted on the port side toon. I've looked at crossing to the starboard side through the engine controls and then running forward. I just wasn't certain if I was missing something the way it was originally configured. This must be a common upgrade that many have mastered. I don't want to mount the transducer on the starboard toon because i don't want the kids stepping on it as they use the boarding ladder. Of coarse if I get rid of the kids, problem solved.

Don't overthink it - mounting starboard is what many including myself have. Plenty of kids up and down the ladder without issue. Most of the ladders project aft so there is probably a good 12-18" of clearance between the tx and ladder - but most importantly, the lowest rung of the ladder protects the tx from errant feet.

You'll be fine.
