I have purchased new 2022 LSB23 with Merc 200 and need to trailer it this spring from central Missouri to Colorado. Do you advise using a transom saver and what brand style would you recommend?

Welcome skip52! Several folks on this site do quite a bit of trailering so be patient as you’re sure to get an expert response.

Sorry, don't know much about transom savers, but congrats on your new boat. Post some pics!

We tow 1200 miles round trip to Canada each year. Just put the motor down all the way and go. If the transom breaks which it won't that is a warranty issue.

Definitely use the search button! Short answer - NOT needed, generally these will tow just fine with the engine all the way down - which is BEST.
But, if your trailer is really low and requires the engine to be tilted, then YES, use a Transom Saver to protect the engine.
Great info on Transom Saver vs Hydraulic Saver:
Few know the difference.

Go to toterite.com and order you one of those. Gives you ground clearance and keeps the motor from moving about. Installs and removes in about 30 seconds. We trailer full-time and have used one of these since day 1. Dealer sells a zillion of them. Highly recommended. Our motor is too low on the trailer when fully down to not use one. The MotorMate is another similar option.
