Tropical Storm - Boat Cover On or Off?

Glad you fared relatively well.

Our lakeside neighbors are snowbirds in Fort Myers FL. In 2022 their place was heavily damaged by Ian. It took the full past two years to repair it. They were able to stay in it this past winter as final repairs were finally completed this past May

One of the tornadoes spawned by Milton went down their street. Took out part of their place again last week. They were all set up here to head down this week. Now that is canceled as they get damage assessments and try to work with their insurance (Ian repairs were all out of pocket - D’oh!).

They said they have finally conceded. This time will be a repair and sell it situation. They’re done!

Wow ! Here's another. A close neighbor has lost three homes in the last 15 years and two to hurricanes. One in NJ a few years back during a coastal storm. One on Gasparilla Island near Ft. Myers during another hurricane and near us, a sinkhole ! The sinkhole took more than 50 truck loads of cement filler. Luckily, they could afford if, but mentally, it was tough.

We lucked out in Cape Coral area! Couldn't believe we didn't have any damage unlike Hurricane Ian. Prayers answered. This weekend we were just putting everthing back on Lania. Also, took off Canopy Cover and boat had no damage thankfully. My neighbors, across the canal, left his canopy on and it bent in 1/2 and was shredded. Luckily, he stored his boat. Ready for hurricane season to be over with!!!

Do you mean that he left his bimini on ? What bent in half? How did it happen if his boat was stored?
