Upgrading Anchor Light on 2015 Bennington with new 2024+ Light

as the title says, im upgrading the anchor light on my 2015 Bennington with the 2024+ LED pole and mount.

my question is on the polarity of the wiring, and if it matters? there is a square plug on the new light, and i have to replace it with the marine grade male and female "bullet connectors" to plug into my existing harness. Im sure it wont necessarily matter on the polarity for the new pole, but wanted to check first.

Typically no, but some led lights are backwards. If it does not work, just swap wires. Had it numerous times with leds I’ve used on vehicles.
