Vault OEM?

I have tried to post this question previously but I must have done something incorrectly. I recently purchased a 2005 2275FSI with a "vault" of sorts under the dash board. I did not get a key for this vault and I would like to open/use it. Can someone tell me something about this like how I may get a key? It appears to be made of 4-6"PVC and has closed-cell foam around it like it is wearing some sort of life jacket. Maybe this was something installed by an earlier owner and has nothing to do with Bennington.

I’ve never heard of anything like this. Kinda sounds add-on. Can you post a picture of it?

Don’t believe it is OEM. Easiest might be to call a locksmith and let them open and then replace lock
