Hi. I own a 2014 Bennington with a 250 Yamaha. Took it out the other day and noticed the volt meter was indicating 16. Went back to my dock and did each battery individually. The batteries indicated 14 individually and 15 on both. Both batteries are less than 2 years old. Any thoughts? Thanks

Well...could be a couple things. Was the charging voltage high the entire time you had the motor running? It could be a regulator problem, but more likely the issue could be with one or both batteries. If you can check the fluid level in the batteries, be sure to do that. A low or failing cell or old batteries with an increasing self-discharge rate might give the indications you saw.

It was running high the entire time. I'll double check the batteries. Thanks.

Yes, do that. If you have a a separate volt meter use that to confirm the boat meter. If your batteries are of the lead/acid type, the 14-15 volts indication is suspect. Try putting a load on them and then check the voltage (motor not running). Voltage then should certainly be less than 14.
