That’s part of the rigging with the motor that is done by the dealership. Two variables impact it: a) manufacturer and type of motor, and b) to some extent the location chosen by the dealership that rigged it.
On my 2017 24 SSBXP, 200 Merc Verado Pro, the dealership mounted mine on an installed bracket in my transome area along the fuel lines before they enter the motor cowl. They didn’t mount it in an ideal space in that area, that led to a problem, and after they fixed that issue they then relocated it 2” higher in the same general area.
Still not as easily accessable as it could be, but better now than originally mounted.
Do you have pictures of your fuel lines going into your motor cowl? If so, post some up and maybe some folks can try to spot it. If not external along fuel lines, post up specific motor (f90 Yamaha, or 150 Hondas, or 250 Merc Verado, etc….) and maybe someone knows it that way.

On my 2014 RCW ,it was mounted behind the back of the port side stern lounge .
