Water in Toon

So my tritoon has a sump pump. I’m assuming after reading your comments that it must only service the center toon. I never thought of it before but the toons obviously do not tie together in any way. My S series stays on a dock lift but I have heard a little water noise. I’ve just always kicked on the sump pump and went about my business. Over the water, like it is, it’s hard to tell where the noise is coming from. It sounds like you’ve done all that can be done to diagnose and solve the problem. I do appreciate the conversation. Something to be cognizant of, for sure.

I just got home from aluminum welding shop. We drained 3 gallons of water from the starboard nose cone area. Definitely not condensation. They pressure tested, but we didn’t know the plug at the top has about a 1/8” hole in the top of the plug for venting. Well it vented our air pressure . Next time I’ll know to bring a solid 1/2” plug. The leak has to be small and might be above water line. Figure 3 gallons - it’s a 2018 and I’ve owned it 2 years. They said most of the leaks are around the water deflection fins, but we didn’t get any bubbles. Oh well, water is out and we’re moving on - for now

Good to hear you excised the demon! I may do the same with my rear toons. just seems to ride a little more aft-heavy these days after 6 years. Certainly I have put on a few pounds myself in the midsection but not enough to for the boat to be doing wheelies!

FYI: The bilge pump you are referring to only pumps water out of the center pontoon storage compartment. Those are not water tight, hence the bilge pump. They actual pontoons each have three separate chambers. No internal pumps.

Our 2025 , 27QXFBWAT2has a bilge pump in each toon, the same as the 2024QSBWAT2 that we got rid of.
I could go on and on about how much water leaked into our 2024 but it was a contributing factor as to why we now have a 2025 which has much tighter tunes.
