Has anyone figured out a solution to water spots after a trip to the lake? My 2250gcw is midnight black, which is beautiful when clean, but water spotting is horrible. I keep it waxed and have found that a mixture of about 60% water with 40% vinegar works good to remove the spots after the fact. However, I was wandering if there was something I could use to minimize the spotting as a pre treatment. I thought about 303, but it does not state that you can apply to painted services. The 303 company also offers a "shower guard" product to protect showers from spotting and mineral build up, but again, does not state it can be used on paint. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Has anyone suggested vinegar?? 
I use it straight from the bottle. I'm always washing my boat when I spray on the vinegar, so I figure it'll get diluted by the water drops on the boat anyhow. The best water spot remover (and the cheapest) you can buy.
