Minnesota but boat in NW Wisc.
Would anyone care to venture a guess on the weight of my toon, as spec'd below, with no additional gear? I was thinking of using my friends scissor but now I'm thinking of getting my own.

Thanks

Go on Bennington's web site and see the specs. for a comparable hull.

Add 450 lbs. for the motor and battery and add a little more for the fuel.  A tandem axle trailer weighs about 1000 lbs.

As far as a 22' or 24' boat goes, they're light.  But they're really pretty heavy when you put'em all together.

It's on their site? I'll look again. Thanks

I'm around 5100 lbs with gear and gas. See boat in my signature.

I put my boat on the trailer today, and it was about 6" off center on the rear.  I put my shoulder to the toons hoping it'd slip down into the V's on my trailer bunks.  No go.

I had to refloat the trailer and boat close to a dock--and push from the side to get the boat centered.  These things are really heavy items and not something to push around if they're out of the water.

My driveway has a slight incline into my garage.  I make sure when I jack up the nose off the trailer ball to have two sets of wheel chocks.  I'd hate to have my tritoon roll down the driveway into the house or hit my Jaguar convertible.

Found the weight in the brochure section. With a 1000Lb tandem trailer, fuel, motor, and battery, I weigh in at about 3600 Lbs. I'm trying to decide between a bunk and scissor. I like aspects of both. Never trailer to other lakes but want to do easy stress free trips to a dealer near meif necessary, and that's a 60 mile round trip. That's where the bunk shines. I had one for my last boat, a fiberglass deck boat and loved it. I can also use a friends scissor, a pretty Ricky old one. Makes me nervous to use it on a road trip, even a short one. Any suggestions regarding brands? It won't get a lot of use but when I use it I don't want to think about it. Are brakes necessary with this weight?

Thanks,

Dan

Yes to the brakes.  Drums will add about $700 but the will keep you safe.

22SFX with 150hp Mercury.  1/2 tank of fuel - 3220lbs weighed at a CAT scale.

No way I would ever tow 60 miles with a scissor trailer. I bought a Mid-America directly from www.trailersforpontoons.com in Elkhart. Others such as Yacht Club and Hoosier are common around here, and do a good enough job for what you want.
