They sell a more expensive version that has rocker bases which is probably what I need. Hopefully I can just buy the bases and don't have to buy the entire package.
The whips will attach to the port cleats and hold the boat away from the dock. The bimini should clear the whips if you have the spring lines tight enough to stop the front to back movement.
Sorry. I wasn’t clear. They work fine docked they are just in the way of actually docking. For now I’ll have to take them out when I leave as to not hit them
I understand. The rocker bases should fix the problem.
Please post how the whips work in a high wind, 2 foot waves toward the dock blow. We just had damage to our boat in Canada from that blow. I have been looking at whips but have heard some negatives from blows into the dock. Doesn't hold the boat away and breakage.
