Saw this online yesterday. Any word yet on what happened to cause such a massive boat fire? Haven’t seen any details yet.

I'm guessing a fuel leak or some other malfunction with the fuel delivery system.

My curiosity got the better of me. Here's what ChatGTP told me:

I do not know . What's being said up here is , possible not functioning or unused at start up .
If / when I find out some credible information I'll post it .
Currently I don't even know if it's a local or visitor.
 
I did hear a few minutes ago , the person was taken to the hospital in Petoskey.
 
We just visited the local brewery . The person serving beer , was there (Maple Bay) when it happened and did not hear an explosion.
 
Hummm...Burt Lake rang a bell...then realized I went walleye fishing there in the mid-60's! Beautiful place, but a long trip from Elkhart, IN.
 
Yeah, we had this 3 days ago in Mt Clemens. 3 people injured. Lucky it wasn't more. Fueling at fuel dock and rumor has it they didn't run the blower afterwards. Can't confirm that though
