Whats Your Ideal Speed

I normally cruise about 13.5 MPH, which is my best fuel consumption as well, at around 3.1 MPG. At that speed the wind is not too bad and it seems to be a pretty relaxed pace. Over the weekend, I did finally break the 40 MPH barrier (40.7 per my smart gauge) with approximately 34 gallons of fuel, twelve gallons of water and just myself aboard. 


Like some others, zero is one of my favorite speeds but it's fun to let her rip from time to time! :)
 
I like to cruise around 20 mph.  It gives us a good breeze, perfect RPM for fuel efficiency, fast enough to tackle normal waves and the engine isn't too loud for talking and moving about the boat.
