Where should I retire with my Benny?

That looks like a nice place! What's an average waterfront place going for these days? Just curious.

Richard-Chambers is about an hour south of Dallas and two and one-half hours east of Granbury. It's more a fishing lake than Granbury which is more a recreational lake. It's pine treed to some degree whereas Granbury lake is more oaks & cedar. What sets Granbury apart is the history of the community. General Granbury was head of the Texas Delegation in the Civil War. Also, Davy Crockett's widow resided and is buried here. Some of Texas lakes (like Possum Kingdom) are great places to boat, but have nothing else to offer. It's hard to give an average selling price. Really nice newer mainbody homes are $450K and higher. Canal homes are usually much less, except in Catalina Bay which are nearer $750K. Of course, you can find cheaper (older) and way more expensive ($1MM +). Look at Trulia or Zillow websites.
