Winterizing Package ---- WOW

I just sent my $960 check (900 +tax), winterize, indoor storage and pick-up at my lake mid October. There is a $160 spring delivery charge back to the lake. I have no where to put a trailer so this is not an option for me to consider purchasing one. The wife has it all figured into the budget!!! Now for those pesky monthly payments, going to hurt in the winter time!!

At my dealership indoor storage for the winters runs a little north of $500, and winterization of the motor/boat somewhere north of $200. Combined its something like $830-870.

I do the pressure wash when putting away, spring “opening” and removing shrink wrap (the local recycler takes the wrap - no cost). I store it outdoors in my yard. I do the pull and launch each season - trailer it to him and back (share my neighbors scissor trailer) - about 2 miles each way. He winterizes and shrink wraps, doing all the fluids, filter and gaskets. Costs me about $450 each year. He “guarantees” it will easily/quickly start each year or he will come to the lake to get it going. Never have had a problem.

And you're an artist with a camera. Thank you for regularly posting these spectacular shots.

Took my boat to get winterized on Monday.Having the usual done.....Antifreeze run through the block, oil/filter changed, lower unit grease changed, etc etc. But this year I'm having the spark plugs changed, toons acid washed and shrink wrapped. So it might be a small fortune this year. Anyway Ive read a bunch of you guys storing your boats inside. For the life of me I haven't been able to find anywhere to store mine inside all over Lake Norman. Found one place that had under roof storage but the waiting list was 15 strong......

I am surprised there isn't an old chicken farm down there that someone bought for storage. That is what my dealer here in Ohio has for indoor storage.

Found the receipt yesterday and it reminded me of this thread. Paid $508 for wrap and winterization. No storage and I do the hauling.
