Can anyone help me ? I have a 2019 QX and i can't get started ! replaced battery and breaker that's inline in battery compartment, but trim switch on motor or shift handle doesn't work and won't start! Any ideas if there's another fuse or relay somewhere ?

Check your safety switch

Make sure it’s in neutral

opps you said shift handle doesn’t move. Never mind then

See if you have voltage on the red wire to the trim button. Pop out the button and make sure the wire isn’t broken. I had this problem before on my other boat. Good luck

Most of the time it's the safety (neutral) switch build into the throttle. However, the fact that your trim doesn't work makes this sound like a no power scenario. Just in case, don't just wobble it a little to make sure it's in neutral, go ahead and cycle it forward and back (in and out of forward and reverse gear) and then stop in neutral and see if that fixes it. Do the same with the safety (lanyard) switch ... remove and reinstall it.

I have what seems the exact same issue right now. Boat is on our lift, I was putting the lift down, trimmed the motor down, no issues. Stopped trimming it down, went to start it, would not start, now unable to trim the motor at all on the throttle, also unable to trim using the switch on the motor itself. Checked one fuse under the helm, checked 5 fuses on the motor, all good. Tried the throttle back and forth idea several times, tried the safety lanyard multiple times, battery tested good on jump box and shows good on boat gage when I turn key on. Are there other fuses that I can check, other ideas? Never had an issue prior to this.

Sure sounds like a fuse given your description of how the problem escalated and is acting. I am not familiar with many of them, or potential changes with time in that regard. Maybe an in-line fuse that’s in a tricky spot to find unless you know what you are looking for…? Perhaps checking in on a Yamaha website, or dealership, might be able to narrow it down.

Won’t start or won’t crank? Under your engine cowling, is a main fuse. Please check that and any large inline fuse from battery selector switch. Best of luck. ⚓⚓
