Things are gearing up around town for the start of the new season. Looking forward to how the team responds coming into this season with a full year of preparation under Coach Tucker.

Gets kind of crazy these days keeping up with the team in the off season with the transfer portal.

I don't really care for the transfer portal unless there are extenuating circumstances. If they just decide to leave a school, they should have to sit out a year.

As an Auburn fan, what Auburn will look like under coach Harsin is a mystery to me.

The first few weeks are so exciting!
We all have our hopes high for our favorite teams.
Slowly, week by week, more and more of us begin to say...."Well, maybe next year"
I love the emotional roller coaster!

As a Alabama fan football is usually fun to watch but I hate the end of summer , it's easy for me to lose interest when you rarely lose, I had to ask my wife if we won the championship last year while I was typing this and she doesn't remember either, I would gladly trade football for year round warmth and boating. I don't like cold weather, I'm usually over the winter bit by mid September and looking forward to summer

Looking forward to the best opening game I can remember and a chance to add another stone. Won't be easy and certainly not a given. Sept 4th in Charlotte.....Clemson vs Jawja

Yup they've been advertising that game here big time! Got a bunch of friends who either went to those schools or are big fans!

Man, you are missing out. I am torn between which one I love more, winter or summer. Probably summer, but winter is pretty special in the great white north. Skiiing, snowmobiling, ice skating and more. I might honestly enjoy snowmobiling more than boating. Close call in my book.

As for college football, I need your problem. My Spartan’s have been on a downhill slide since 2016. So frustrating. Hoping to turn it around, and soon!

Just some of the fun to be had in winter lakeside:

We go out to Tahoe and ski but here in Alabama we get miserable cold with an occasional inch of snow that no one can drive on, fall is good for breaking out the dirtbike.

My wife's family is from New England. Been skiing all through New England, Canada, Colorado, Utah, and California. But to be honest if I never saw snow again it wouldn't bother me a bit! Ha! Too damn cold for this Hawaiian guy! Don't get me wrong I loved the snow but I've had enough of it over the years! It didn't even snow at Lake Norman last year!

Dantonio stepped down into retirement Jan or Feb of 2020. We then hired Tucker from Colorado. I liked Dantonio a lot. Great guy, great coach. However, somewhere along the way recruiting and performance began to fizzle out his last couple of years with us.

This will be Tucker’s first FULL year with us, with somewhat normal player development. We’ve brought in some interesting possibilities between recruits and the transfer portal. We’ll see if Tucker is up to the hype around town surrounding him this year and next. Fingers crossed!
