Good luck - I bought a 2004 22 ft tritoon 150 HP bennington 2250RL in good condition last yr and paid 20K.....so figure that was a 9 yr old boat not 3-4yr. Fact is when I was lookign around there were not many used tritoons on the market.
The last 2 years we have run a costco purchased 4 person HO tube, only to have them develop holes. There were no visibible signs of damage to the outside nylon cover, yet the vinyl tube inside had what looked like slices in the tube. Each tube has only lasted 1 season and they run about $200. ...
OK i ran mine with the top rolled up, but not laying down flat on the sunpad and full tank of gas - toons are clean but not polished. I have a 15 x 15 solas aluminum (I would guess a 15 1/4 x 15 would lower my RPM). I only get ~ 5500 (i can get to 6000 by trimming, but I slow down). Do you...
Carl. I am never happy if I can do better. Are you numbers with canopy completely flat? What rpm are you at? I can't see how the as enertia will get me 5 to 6 more mph. I would think 1 or 2
Well finally got to test 15 x15 Silas aluminum. Much better I got 33 mph Sisley a d can get 31 with 6 on board. BoAt gets out of the hole much better and motor height even looks good now
Carl,
I think the enertia you bought is universal, and you buy the hub kit. The solas I just bought does not have a hub kit it fits directly (I think mercury and honda splines are the same), but as I stated, when I look at the Honda catalog, the powertech props have a different prop thrust...
Well I went to try my solaris this weekend, and it did not fit. The washer behind the prop nut is splined and would not engage the spline. i thik it needs a different prop thrust washer. When I look in the honda catalog, the powertech props use a different prop thrust washer. Also, I lloked...
Well if you look at my other post I am going the other direction....I have a powertech 4 blade with 20 pitch on a 22 ft 3 tube with strakes benni with a 150 honda pushing it. I am going to try a solas 15 x 15 aluminum first. The 4 blade gets me 31-33 MPH (GPS) at 5000 rpm. this also works...
We keep our Benni in canal behind our second home in northern Mi. One reason a switched from a run about - i did not liketo leave it in the water becasue of the build up it got, so I used to take it out every weekend after we were done using it. I figured the toons would be easier to clean...
Oh forgot to mention. Logs are not "polished" or anything, but not covered in fur. we used a green scotch bright pad to knock of what little junk was hangin on the logs, and washed them with toilet bowl cleaner.
Hey thanks for hijacking my thread. Anyhow thanks to the rest of the members on the advice. I'll probably try the 15 x15 enertia I hope the dealer can work with me to find the right one
My only concern is if this is realy a 20P dropping to a 15P is a big change. ~1000+ rpm is you assume 200 RPM / 1p
How is the Enertia for Out of the hole, and blowout during cornering. I was guessing the previous owner put on this 4 blade to fix one of those issues. Should I be staying with a...
