Thanks, Jack. I guess I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that Bennington will respond to my issue sooner than later. We only have maybe another 8 to 10 weeks of decent pontoon weather up here before it's time to put it away for the winter.
Can anyone here give me a phone number of someone I can actually talk to at Bennington that might be able to help me? I filed a report through their website this morning but I have no idea what they have for response time and I'm at my wits' end with the dealer who sold me my Benny new in 2017...
They hadn't had a chance to check them as of yesterday, but if they do leak they were talking about installing new pontoons. I wonder if the "rough water" upgrade has to do with the way the M brackets are attached to the pontoon? If that's the case and the rough water brackets attach to the deck...
The dealer told me I had to bring it to them first in any case, so I took it down today. They could hear the water in the pontoons and said they'd had a case of leaking welds before. Because the pontoons have to be removed to repair, their solution then was to backweld all the bracket mounts...
No doubt, I will contact a higher-up at Bennington to discuss the details of my issue before I have it worked on. However, the particular dealer I bought my boat from proved them selves incompetent when I bought it in 2017 and I told myself then I'd never bring it back there, and haven't had to...
I recently discovered water in one (sloshing sounds), possibly both elliptical pontoons on my 2017 21' SXF and haven't a clue as to how it got in there. I bought the boat new in 2017 and put 87 hours on it the 1st year and about 20 hours per year the past 4, and while sometimes moored to my...
Have you had a chance to try your 22SSX out in fresh water to see what top speed is? I've seen 30 before on my 21SFX with ellipticals, on fresh water. Wondering if it worth my while to install stakes & foils on mine.
Thanks
I just bought a Kuuma 316 Elite but have yet to use it. A bit pricey, but a big cooking surface with upper rack. It too has fold out feet and I could deploy it on top of my fishing station but I intend to use that as the staging area and sink. I like that it hangs out over the water which keeps...
Hey all, finally getting to the pics and my report. I've had my 21SXF on the water for 6 days & have over 17 hours on it, and have burned about 2/3 of a tank of gas in that time with the 115 SHO. Right now I have my spare prop, a 13-5/8"x14 aluminum non-SDS. In calm water I can get the speed...
I'm planning on toting an AR, being in a very remote area where law enforcement response time would likely be measured in hours. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it! ;)
I recently took delivery of a new 21SFX with a 115, I got a 14x13 Talon SS SDS. I haven't had it in the water yet but once properly broken in, I'll post my findings. I also bought an aluminum (non SDS) 13-5/8x14 so I'd have a spare for whichever prop works out best. I suspect I'll use the...
