Thanks for the suggestions. I will take your advice. However, my dealer closes down for the winter so the warranty repairs will have to wait until spring. I agree with all who responded to my post that Bennington is still THE BEST PONTOON BOAT on the market. I sing the praises of Bennington...
Good Luck with whatever boat you choose. If you get it through Scott he'll likely take good care of you. Remember...outboard motors are kinda like Pole Barns...no one ever complains that they got it too big but, many have complained they should have gotten it bigger. Since we're on Secord as...
Let me start by saying we "Love" our Bennington. It's a 2011 2075 GLI. We decided to spend the extra money on a Bennington vs other brands with the belief it would be the last boat we would need to buy before heading into retirement. Sadly, I have run across some quality issues that make me...
Bought a new 2011 Bennie 2075 last summer. I am intrigued by the prospect that I could keep my 90 hp Yamaha and put it on a new 2275 GLI w/ 32" elliptical toons and lifting strakes, get more top speed, stay fuel efficient, and gain the extra room up front where we like to sit at the sand bar...
Once again spring is here and the boat is officially "wet". Weather is supposed to be fantastic in Michigan this weekend. Going boating for sure!! Hope everyone else gets out on the water as well.
I absolutely agree. Just bought my first Bennington from Secord Lake Marina! Thanks Scott!
I first became familiar with Secord Lake Marina about 13 yrs ago. The first year Bennington made boats if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, Scott's Dad was my first contact and what a great guy he is as well...
I want to decrease engine speed to get it more into the operating range 5000-6000 rpm per Yamaha. Also, speed was not what I expected when moving up from a 40hp Mariner. Old boat (same size as new boat) was 18 mph w/ 40 hp @ 4900 rpm. New boat is 90hp 22 mph @ 6000 rpm. Great hole shot...
What is the recommendation for best speed on a 2075 w/ 90hp Yamaha? The Marina provided a prop that acheives 22mph at 6000 rpm. I would like to bring down the revs and hopefully increase speed. Ultimately get the engine in the 5500-5600 range.
