One reason the RPM's vs. speed are not comparable is because the propping is way different between the boat styles. Also, the pontoon is a displacement style hull. It's going to take more to get the same work done. You are on a floating living room. I was seriously considering a setup just like...
I actually do have a first complaint. I paid $400. for a coffee table/cooler and the cooler part is a piece of junk. I can't believe that would be placed on a 47K boat. Also the built in BBQ in the galley rattles at idle. Yeh I'm nit picking, but I am used to a Benni.
I don't think there will be regrets. There aren't many toons out there that match the quality of Bennington, but we felt the Sanpan was on par. The boat pricing was about the same, it was the trade in allowance that was the deal breaker. Being a Benni is what gave us the edge no doubt. Being an...
Hello all, been here for 2 years now with a 22SFi and we have been very pleased with our Benni. Last fall we made the decision to upgrade to a "retirement" boat and was already to pull the trigger on "R" model. But we just had to go with this one. Only because we were given a deal that was...
Customer satisfaction is what it is all about "at the end of the day". Bennington should seize the opportunity, and provide custom ordered boats much like a house.
"To spec". Within reason of course. It seems none of the pontoon manufacturers truly make a floor plan that is what every buyers...
We have had a nice warm summer in Maine. we will get 4 more weeks in with temps in the 70's, then it's time to put her to bed and dust off the Arctic Cat for the winter. Looking forward to my newly ordered toon next season.
That is some pretty murky water your in. I bet the buildup is moreso than you realize. Clean tube will bump the speed a fair amount. If you can go swimming take a couple of "magic erasers" with you in the water and clean the tubes up with those. make sure you get the ones without soap imbedded...
Thanks for the advice. I will have them installed. It's going to be a 2 tube setup. I went back and forth on lesser luxury and more power or more luxury and less power. We are at the top of our
budget as it is. I understand a 150 is definitely the way to go, but luxury won out. 95 percent of...
Hop everyone is having a great summer of boating. It's been mighty fine boating weather in Maine so far. Sunny and 80's for the most part. I do have a question for anyone in the know.
I am about to order a new 2275RLi. Most of what I do is cruising and cooking on the boat with the occasional...
O.K. I'll bite. Been busy boating this summer at my home lake in Maine. This was taken at sunrise a week ago. Air was cool, water was warm creating a fog bank over a portion of the lake.
The direct sun on hot days will make her tired. Nice thing is she can just take a dip in the water and it helps. She gets around pretty well thanks. Fortunately here in Maine it doesn't get too hot that much. Hot days bother her. We could
never live south of here. A nice 75 degree day with a...
I have the same problem as you. Spousal unit just loves the Bennie and as far as she is concerned, no Bennie is too good for our slip. She has M.S. and the tooning thing has replaced all other summer activities because it is well suited for her disability, so no amount of money can be placed on...
