    Odd question...

I bet if I ever filled up from a dock I would appreciate it on that side, thanks for the positive view. Apparently I need to rent a slip at the marina instead of hauling it back and forth on a trailer. My boat was obviously made specifically for that, I'll let my wife know of the new plan and...

    Odd question...

Odd enough mine is on the starboard side (2017 22 SSRCXP). I trailer every where and every-time I fuel up I wish it was on the port side as it would be easier to see when pulling into a pump.

    Fender clips

Sorry for the delay. I really like them. Easy to move around and adjust height. Usually leave the height placement alone, but I have moved it around when rafting up with friends. Cheaper options available, but I'm happy with them.

    Beaching a Pontoon Boat

Some great info on another thread here:  http://club.benningtonmarine.com/index.php?/topic/3235-beaching-question/

    Be careful out there!

Rule on our boat is the driver always has to have the lanyard on, usually just loop around your leg and forget about it.  Does occasionally get forgotten, both to put on or take back off.  Easy enough habit to get into and a small safety measure we can control.

Choosing a prop for higher altitude boating

Thanks for the info.  I did look into the Evinrude props and you're correct, the Rebel only goes down to a 15 pitch.  Not a lot available in a 13 pitch so I might not have a lot of choices.  I'm guessing a 15 pitch would drop my RPMs to much to be usable.  I'll see if my dealer will let me try a...

Choosing a prop for higher altitude boating

The prop isn't anything fancy, SSP TBX (Part #763959).  Not much info that I can find, seems to be their generic base line prop.  Engine is not an H.O. or G2, I don't have the model # in front of me, but it's a 2.6L with 25" shaft. What did you have before the Rebel?  That looks like a good...

Choosing a prop for higher altitude boating

Wondering if anyone has experience selecting props at higher elevations?  I hit 31 MPH at 5900 RPM WOT. Full fuel tank and two adults so a pretty light load.  With a heavy load (4 adults, 2 teens, 2 kids, 2 coolers, more gear than needed) and Bimini up I don't lose much, maybe 1-2 MPH.  I also...

    Cam cleats for fenders

I use Quick Cleats as well and they work great.  I don't really adjust the height often, but it's nice to have that option.  Very easy to move from one side to the other or anywhere along the length of the boat.  Didn't want to drill or mount anything to my toon until I was more familiar with...

    Trailering question

I'm thinking about something similar.  I have three lake options between 30 & 100 miles of home so we're always towing.  How fast have you gone with any of those covers on?  Very few people on the roads out here in the middle of nowhere and our speed limit is 80.  Curious how much of that I...

    Welcome to Club Bennington

Evinrude 150.  Wasn't what I decided on so much as what the dealer had available, but I'm happy with it.  Limited choices in my neck of the woods so it was more about finding a handful of toons that met my requirements then letting the wife pick the one she liked the best (with some subtle nudges).

    Welcome to Club Bennington

New Bennington owner and want to say thank you for all the great info I've picked up from this site.  It's helped immensely in figuring things out for a greenhorn in the boating world.  Loving it so far.

    Fender clips

New to boating and the pontoon, but I use Quick Cleat:  https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F8E5OB2/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Not mounted permanently anyplace so I can swap them around until I figure out what works best for me
