I just got a 2012 Bennington 24sl with a 115 Yamaha on it. The prop I think is a 13something X 15something. It will max rpm to 7000. I think that's a little high and want to be between 5000 and 6000. Does anyone know what prop size I should get or what do you use on your boat. thanks in advance!!!

I have a 2017 24 foot with 115 Yamaha and I use a 13.5 x 14 prop. Max rpm is 5700. I think you have a lot of slippage. Might be mounted too high? Mine is using the top holes for mounting.

You might want to check the prop hub and make sure it is ok. Put the motor in gear (NOT RUNNING) and see if you can turn the prop.

I think you guys might be right on the slippage. Pretty sure it is a 13.5x14 thats on it. Seemed a little funny at times. I'll check it and see what up with that....thanks!!!

My 2018 22SSRX with 115 Yamaha is doing 5400 at 31mph GPS. The prop is a Yamaha SS 14K 13 and came on the boat/motor. Everything is stock but I am planning to have prop tweeked a little to run at 5800-6000 range.

This data is on fresh water at 500 feet elevation in 100 degree heat with full gas and two people with maybe 150 lbs. of gear.
