I get a kick out of the numbers of the winners, 37mph, most of you on the forum could do that in your Bennies.  I remember a couple of years ago a local gear head ran it in a super boat I tried a quick search for it on google but couldn't find it.

Ahh, I assumed that was what "instant replay" meant in 1949! "well Jim, we watch it then immediately play it again from the beginning. It'll be called an 'instant replay', all the big networks will do it, you just wait and see!"
 
Great race. I remember the Merc. Quick Silver used on Hydro's and Runabouts during their lake racing. Much Fun.
 
Cool video, some of those guys look to have over trimmed off the line.
