  • I like the idea of adding a toon to my two toon setup. is more to my liking then getting killed on a trade and going to a new boat. I have a 2014 20SLX in excellent condition. I'm trying to sell the existing motor 70HP Yamaha 4 stroke outright. I may get 5k for it maybe less. I was going to up grade anyway, and have the motor money. What is the best way to start the process for those who have done this.

Sorry for slow response Vinent. Have a family medical problem going on and I haven't been on forum lately. You will have to buy the express toon thru your dealer, make sure you give him your HIN and have him send that to Bennington to get the correct part. Also consider adding the underdeck skinning as that will help your ide tremendously
Link, I'm brand new here and am trying to learn about adding an express toon to my 22' Harris. I noticed that in an old post you were in the process of adding a 3rd log to your boat and was wondering how satisfied you were with the result. How was speed and performance affected? How long are your 2 outer logs and how long is your express log? Same diameter? Thoughts? Thanks! Jeff

The express toon was a good addition to my 2-toon setup as a cost effective way to improve my ride. I believe my outer toons are about 24', the express toon matches the others in the front and goes back to the existing transom. When I had that done I also added the underdeck wave shield which greatly enhances the quality of the ride and also adds a little to the speed. I originally picked up 5mph
I hope we are getting Mark L. back! Weather has finally broke I hope your using the heck out of your Benny!

Hopefully he will buy a Q with a 350 on the back.  As for me I have only been on the boat once due to a family medical condition.

So sorry to hear that. The weather has started off so bad this season. I have not boated much myself. I hope your family is all well soon.

I love the forum as like you I knew nothing about boats or the lake prior to buying our first boat in 2010.  The forum has helped me tremendously

We would like to have dinner with you guys but may be difficult at the lake as we are having company the next 3 weeks up there.

You are aware that Dan's band is headlining the Bannertown fair next Friday and a large group from SBCA are planning on going

Have to use my camp pix until I receive my new Bennie, Typical Adirondacks, if it has a bear or moose on it we like it for camp
