The lower right panel on the raised helm is less than ideal for viewing a flush mounted GPS unit because of the steering wheel interference with the view. What might be better locations and mounting schemes for a GPS unit on this boat?

Thanks. .

Ram mount. I have been very happy with it and it is easy to remove for security
I've been eyeing that same location for a RAM mount. Which GPS unit do you have and what is the screen size?

Thanks.

My GPS is a Garmin 531 Or 531S not sure off the top of my head. It is a 5 inch screen. It does not include a depth finder as I kept the Garmin 100 that came installed from the factory. We boat on Dale Hollow Lake which is 32000 acres and over a 600 mile shoreline. We have attended a fireworks display and came aprox. 9 miles back to our ramp in the dark with no problems. I would never want to be without it. I was able to beat the dealers price at the GPS Store on the web. gpsstore.com Hope this helps

Link. I could not remember if the S was with or without the depth finder thanks for helping an old man out.
