Base radio vs RF upgrade?

Thanks for the link... from what I gather, the speakers maybe a nice to have and will be better but the head unit may not provide better sound or performance.

The higher quality speakers ahould sound better on the current kicker head unit at least a little. Changing head units will only help sound quality if it has more Wattage to boost speaker performance.Now if the current head unit has issues with its internal amplifier the new one may sound a little better. But most of the time you were changing head units just for functions.
