Bennington - Sony & iPod Question

I have a new 2012 Bennington, and we love it. I have used the iPod connection fine. I have read SOMEWHERE.. that you can hold a button somewhere to enable the controls on the iPod instead of having to use the controls on the Sony. Does anyone know what that trick is?

From a Sony M60 manual I found...

During playback, press and hold

( MODE).

"MODE IPOD" appears and you will be ableto operate the iPod directly.

If you Google for your specific Sony model you can probably find a downloadable manual for it...
