I use a solar charger to top off a battery since I live on the water and at the end of the day I could swim to the dock, so the battery never has enough time to charge back up. Works great.
I did have a mount that fit in a cup holder for solar panel, but sun wrecked the plastic mount, so at the moment I just leave the panel on the boat deck, works fine, just not too elegant. I’ve had it on deck in 50mph winds, no issue and had it weighted down in 115 mph winds and no issue then either.
