I am the new owner (my first boat OOPS perhaps ) of an older but extremely well kept 1850 GL - 2007 - original carpet and upholstery are in very good shape and hope to maintain as such. The original playpen cover needs replacement and i'm looking for ideas for a mooring cover? I thought there might be something easier/quicker than a custom button top and looking for ideas and whether I should stick with button down? I assume a clip cover will not work for my vintage. I have been in touch with Tumac, sunbrella delays yet they can make a surlast. Thoughts? They will provide snaps but not install as it might not fit exact. Unclear on how difficult this is and I did notice I have a couple buttons missing on the boat.

Does any one have thoughts/recommendations and/or should I call around to local canvas shops?

Thanks much.

AJ

I would use a local canvas shop . Ask for Sunbrella material if available .

I second the motion for a local canvas shop. I paid around $1000 for a custom Sunbrella cover in 2020 in central SC.

I priced one last spring ,just over 2k. Depends on the shop .
