Any advice on extending the engine flushing fitting on my Yamaha 115 from the motor to the ladder?

That fitting doesn't flush the whole engine like running it with muffs on does.

The fitting is at a garden hose fitting. My boat is on a lift and I do not have access to the lower unit while on the lift.

You should be able to buy a 3-4' hose at lowes etc.

Make sure you hook it back up when you are done. Carl, when I flushed mine the other day with it off there was water coming out everywhere. To me it looked like it was getting everything.

I don't think you'd want to run it without water being fed through the impeller though.

Yamaha has a separate fitting that a hose hooks up to. You flush it with the motor off. Or you can use the muffs on the lower unit pickup and run it. I'll have to do a video next time I take mine out.

Yeah, my Suzuki has them as well, I just wasn' t sure if he intended to run on the flush port.
