engine lift guage

Start with checking wiring connections at back of gauge and at tilt ran at the motor.
What year/model boat and motor?
 
IT is a 2018 Yamaha 115 hp. So far can't identify the tilt sending unit at the motor. Wiring at the gauge seems ok.
 
Push comes to shove, you’re still under warranty. You could take the lazy way out and just have your dealer get it straightened out.
 
Checked with my dealer and ran into two problems: 1) parts folks said they would have to be sure there was no damage to the part, it had to be a factory defect to be covere; 2) they charge 70 to haul the boat and bring it to their onland site--they don't have mobile service--which I would have to pay even if the warranty covers.
 
Welcome ! Did you buy the boat from "my dealer" ? And they are going to charge you $70 to haul the boat for a for a warranty issue ? So if it is a "factory defect" then no charge at all to repair or haul?
