Front Bimini Towing Position

Just curious what the official towing position is supposed to be--slightly raised while supported by the short legs, or laying flat on the rail? (I have a 2006 2575RFi). When towing with it up on the short legs it really bounces around in the wind, even when tied down. Then when we trailered it home this weekend, we didn't tighten the bolts on the bimini frame where the legs adjust and the bimini fell down flat on the railing (and I thought it wasn't flopping around because I had tied it down so well!). Anyway, it towed great like that and we got about 1mpg better mileage. I don't see any downside to having the bimini in the lower, lay flat position, but I will make sure it's strapped to the rail just in case the feet/clips pop out.

I would make sure I had something under the bimini so it does not rub on the upholstry. Otherwise I think you would be good to go.
