Stupid question. New boat and I’m trying to add gas. Fuel gage shows half a tank. When I try to put gas in from the gas spout on the port side, tank appears to be full. Boat specs say I have a 24 gallon fuel tank with 21.4 usable capacity. Also says I have a transom fuel tank. Is there a different place to put gas in for that tank. Boat has a Suzuki 140hp motor if hat makes a difference.

Lots of people have trouble getting fuel into Benny's. Search this site and read some of the solutions.

My fuel cap is on the port side of my 2011 2275 GCW and the fuel tank is under the port rear lounger. I can pull the backrest open (it's velcro'd in place) and actually see the translucent tank and can tell when it is actually full. I fuel from 5 gallon portable cans using a jiggle siphon. No issues getting the fuel in for me.

Thanks. Going to try using the funnel that came with the boat.

Thanks for the suggestions. After I used the official Bennington gas spout, it worked. Got all the gas in I needed for a full tank. I am using a Terapump to transfer gas from can to boat. See the attached pictures.
