Just thinking about purchasing a GO PRO camera.  Just wanted to get some mounting ideas from anyone who might use this type of camera when on the water. Need something secure obviously but need mount suggestions

Many thanks

Mark

This is what I purchased . I mounted it on the top of my arch or the helm .

I'm still waiting for your videos Jack!

I bought the GoPro attachment that goes with my Shurhold boat pole. It's nice because one pole can be used for my GoPro, a boat hook, a paddle, a fishing net, etc. Just swap the attachments on and off. I like the POV that can be obtained from the end of the pole too. Always fun to have the actual boat/people in the shot. Unfortunately I didn't do enough with it to make an actual video, but here are a couple of screens using the pole. It helps to stabilize the camera too. I was thinking about sticking it in a rod holder and doing some static shots from there.

I have attached mine to a boat pole then held it  over the bow to see the action under the boat as you pick up speed,  turn etc.
