One more 'tid but I didn't see in that artical was. When your using a long line like 100-150 foot long you, run the risk of having another boat or Jet ski buzz betweeen you and the boat your towing and not seeing the Line. (So if you take the articals advice) "if it's not a emergency don't make it one" you can tie somthing bright like a Red Head scarf or (bandanna) on to the tow line in between so you limit the risk of some idiot possibly not seeeing your tow rope, that's another line of protection for everyone.
I have always had good luck with simply swinging "the boat in tow" in tow the dock. I would never wanna risk tieing up my boat and having the boat I'm towing run in to me.
