Grounding Marine Amplifier

I am planning to do a little aftermarket stereo upgrade and was hoping I could get some input on a good grounding location for my amplifier.  i have a 2015 22 SCWX w/ the rear facing loungers and am planning on mounting my amp under the driver-side rear facing lounger on the bulkhead under the seat.  I will have to run the power cable across to the battery under the passenger side rear lounger, but was looking for a good grounding point that under the driver-side rear facing lounger.  Any suggestions?

The best ground would be the negative on the battery itself.  If it were me, I'd just run both the cables together to the battery.

There isn't a ground on a boat like a car. Straight to the battery.
