Varying between 6” - 7” for about a 1/2 mi to 1 mile out from shore. Hearing its untested further out than that currently. It is still a couple weeks away from where I have a great comfort level for anything beyond iceskating in front of the cottage.

They always look sweet racing across the lake. That’s pretty cool that you’ve had the opportunity to give one a try.

Well, we are getting into full winter cottage mode. Ice skating rink is set and starting to get used. First time out on the snowmobiles this morning. I love this time of year!!!

Hope you have a snowblower to do all that clearing. Don’t want the kids tired before the fun starts.

For the ice rink, I shovel it. I think it leads to better ice for ice skating. That said, my body doesn’t shovel that heavy wet snow as well as it used to when younger. The things I do for my girls...

Are they done with the season once the snow arrives? Seams like it would be short-lived...

Do you mean the NG ice-sailboats? Various clubs of them plan events for across the state based on varying ice and snow conditions. They are most active at the start of winter and typically the end of winter due to the snow issues your eluded to. Someone with an even shorter season that Michigan boaters...ROFL. :p
