You haven't offered a lot of details here (when is it tripping? When running? Rough water or smooth? Starting the motor? Random?) but generally sensitive electronics like chartplotters can reset when there are voltage fluctuations or bad connections.
First and obvious check is all the wiring from the chart back to the battery. Make sure every connection, fuse, switch etc. is tight and not corroded. For voltage fluctuations that will be a little tougher, perhaps checking with a multi-meter. Mine reset almost every time I started the motor, so the fix on my two-battery setup involved an isolator install.
Depending on the age of your boat it could also be a warranty issue so having your dealer address is also an option if you can handle the backlog/wait time.
