Recently took delivery and was able to do a short shake down lake test last Sunday. Have a Merc Verado Pro 200 that was originally propped with an Enertia 14.4 X 17 and was only able to hit 5400 RPM with 3 people.

Dealer took it back and re-propped it as well as fixed a few things. They report 6100 with 3 people and 6200-6300 with a single driver when changed from 17 to 15 inch pitch....right where Mercury wants me to be.

FYI, one of the repairs was a slight bend on the starboard aft deck where the boarding ladder is. Someone climbed aboard using the ladder while on the trailer. Bennington told my dealer warranty guy that they've seen this a few times and that you shouldn't use the ladder unless the boat is in the water. I'll post pics...

Here's a pic of the bent deck...

Welcome and thanks for the pics; she's a beauty! As for the bent aft deck, never heard of such a thing. Very strange to hear you shouldn't use the ladder while on the trailer. How else is a person to board?

The things they never tell you;)

That black motor really looks nice with your boat. It's a beauty!

I can understand why .... you are more buoyant in water, and you are close to the top of the ladder before it takes your full weight. Out of water, all your weight is on bottom rung acting like a big lever. Out of water, I’m guessing you should typically board from the front as many trailer manufacturers have steps there. I’m hoping many people read this thread to see the information about using this access method.

She looks great. You are going to have a great summer.

Awesome looking boat! Incredibly similar to ours in color and style. You’re going to love that 200 Merc V-Pro and the Swingback layout.

Thanks all for the comments. Semperfi's comment is the explanation I was given and it makes sense. While on the trailer, I board from the trailer steps at the bow.

Looks good!

Very nice!!

Kind of surprised about the bent deck. Bennington might need to beef up that area if that’s the case.
