I had the opportunity to see my new boat today at my dealer. I was surprised to see a rear splash guard on both port and starboard. This splash guard is made out of 1/8” aluminum, is rather sharp and sticks out at least an inch beyond the outer most point of the rub rail. I honestly don't see how this guard is not going to get in the way when docking As it completely eliminates the rub rail from rubbing the dock post as it should…I just don’t get it…. Do any of you have this on your boat? Ill post a pic below but you will have to zoom in to see it….if you zoom in at the back corner just below the rub rail you can clearly see it…
