Spouse probalby didn’t want to drive the truck home with the trailer behind it. Husband said “Hold my beer” and decided to “transport” the trailer back to their cottage via the boat.

I've seen people move their boat lifts like this. Tie it to the boat and idle to the boat ramp to haul out.
